Finding a location in Berlin?
Hi

Is anybody Local to Berlin; or knows Berlin very well? I am travelling there in a few weeks and need to track a location down.

Ive seen the film "The Baader Meinhof Complex" and would like to see Ulrike Mienhof’s gravestone.
Ive been on Google Maps and tracked the location to:

Heilig-Kreuz-Kirchhof, Mariendorf,
Cemetery, which I believe is North of Tegel Airport.
Ive found U-Bhan stations around the area although they look a distance away. Does anybody know if the cemetery is in realistic walking distance; and how long it would take to walk from the nearest U-Bhan Station?

Also is the cemetery large; is her grave easy to locate. Ive tracked down its in "Zone A"? Does anybody know where that is in the cemetery?

Any help would be much appreciated

In reality Ulrike Meinhof is burried in the city of Stuttgart not in Berlin so you won’t find her gravestone there.
The burial was very controvers at the time the major of Stuttgart defended the right of the terrorists to get a burial place and said that with the dead even terrorists aren’t to be considered as public ennemies anymore

Is it the government's job to punish drunk drivers?
At first your thinking, of course that’s a great thing, but is it really? You could drive down the street being somewhat drunk, and most likely your not going to hit something. I don’t see how you can be punished for driving with more alcohol in your blood. Without their stupid test, they would have no objective proof either. I used to think that we’re being protected because police stop drunk drivers, but now I’m under the impression that it is a violation of our rights. If one is drunk and get’s into an accident, then more extreme measures should be taken as punishment. If they don’t get into a crash, what can you accuse them of? A higher percentage of an accident? I think this exemplifies government tyranny no matter how nice it sounds that you feel protected.

Well since they will not let citizens punish drunks for killing their family members then I guess it would be left up to the government. Whatever someone does that puts someone else at risk is subject to government intervention. The government is run by the people. Laws for drinking and driving are not nearly strong enough. It may just save a life, and it could be yours or one of your family members lives. The only problem I see with the law is that some people who have friends in high places end up getting off because they "know someone".

No right is absolute, neither the right of a person to be pulled over without probable cause, nor the right of the police to pull people over and check the BAL. The government has the responsibility to maintain public safety and protect property from damage.

People driving after drinking or using drugs have a demonstrable impairment in motor skills and judgment.

So if you equate responsibility with job, then yes.

In most (maybe all) states, a driver with a BAC of 0.08 or higher is consider to be impaired. The law says it is illegal to drive while impaired because an impaired driver puts the lives and safety of other drivers and pedestrians at risk.

If a police officer stops a driver who he believes is impaired, he can make an arrest without a breathalyzer test. He can conduct a field sobriety test and use that as evidenc of impairment. He will then take the driver to his station and require him to take a breathalyzer test.

An impaired driver who doesn’t have an accident could be charged with both DUI and reckless endangerment. The only "free ride" a drunk driver gets is in the back seat of a patrol car to the police station.

Not only do impaired drivers have a greater risk of having an accident, but they are responsible for a higher percentage of accidents that result in fatalities (to others) than drivers who are not impaired.

If you take a gun and fire it into a crowd but your bullet doesn’t hit anyone, are you free to go? Nope.

Kidney/Back pain, doctors don't know what it is?
In 2005 I got this pain in my right side just under my rib cage, it felt like it was inside rather than a muscular pain. After a few months of pain everyday I went to the doctor who tested my urine and prescribed anti inflammatory meds and pain killers. After taking these for another few months with no improvement (it just made it managable) I went back to the doctor who referred me to a specialist. I had a scan and one of those radioactive tests with the dye. Everything came back clear. Suddenly the pain disappeared like I had never had it, until last month, it’s back with a vengeance and I have no idea what to do about it. The only thing that helps it is heat.

This may sound stupid and you’ve probably all ready tried this, but have you looked at the similarities with the food you’ve been eating when the pain occurs. Apparently most conditions are related to the food we eat, perhaps your not getting enough water or vitamins.

Right side under the ribs…sounds like gallbladder related or biliary tree related. It is true you should pay attention to what you have eaten and not eat a high fat content as this could trigger it. I would ask for a gallbladder ultrasound!

Can domestic pigs be used hunt wild animals?
I was wondering if any pet pig or otherwise domestic hog could help humans hunt? I know they are used to hunt for truffles but I wonder how they would handle the trail of something like a raccoon. I found out from pet pig owners that they are easy to train, have a nose better than a dogs and smart enough to learn difficult tricks so I wonder if they could be taught to hunt on a leash. Also, does anyone know how pigs act around gun fire? The last thing any hunter needs is a 100-200+ lb mass of muscle ripping them in the opposite direction of the animal! So if you think it could happen, what breed do you think could pull it off? Thanks for your opinions on this odd topic!

a pig could definitely be trained to follow a scent, but once it got to the raccoon, then what? a pig isn’t going to have the genetics to think to bark at it or try and tree it or grab it by the scruff and shake it.

Yes, pigs (domesticated and wild) are very smart animals, but domesticated pigs will revert back to the wild faster than any other domesticated animal (along with goats).
