Don’t know how "pop-culturey" you want to get here, but there is a random segment in both the TV shows Family Guy (where Noah has all the animals onboard but apparently doesn’t give them instructions on how to reproduce so a confused elephant and penguin make a child that has penguin form but an elephant head) and there is also a segment in Robot Chicken where the dragons or some other mythical creature doesn’t arrive with his wife to Noah’s boat on time and they end up dying. Kinda funny, but like I said, i don’t know how much you’d appreciate them.

Now, i’ve been pondering the start of the new season for a while, and, a few somber thoughts come to mind. Many players have been left in the dust because of a "lack of soul" of "higher ups". It seems that the sentimental value of Johnny Damon and Hideki Matsui mean nothing to the cold hearted Cashman, Girardi, or Steinbrenner. Ha, bet u didn’t expect d), well, if u chose him, good for you, because, that’s my choice too. His voice swims through the air and is like perfectly separating an Oreo. Losing him is devastating, and hopefully he either comes back, or, starts to do the announcing from in his home. But, nonetheless, I think that what ever he chooses must be respected, even though i will never forget how amazing it is to hear his voice call "Derek Jeter."

Bob Sheppard hasn’t announced for a while, so he has already been missed a lot.

As to the others, I’ll miss Matsui the most. I liked his fighting spirit and professionalism. Not saying that he’s the most valuable of the three but he’s been with the team the longest.

As for lack of soul of Cash-Man, remember, the Yankees got rid of Babe Ruth and became a dynasty. The Yankee champions of the 90s tried to hold onto everyone and got old fast. I think it is a tough thing to let players go but it’s what a team has to do.

A non humiliating way of telling my parents and friends that I got fired?
I got fired for a reason that I would totally not feel comfortable telling my parents and friends for. It was my fault, so it’s especially harder on me and I would prefer not to lie, but in this case, it would seem like I have to for my parents/friends/and my benefit.
My parents and friends are going to eventually find out that I got fired with me not going to work anymore and such, so once the question arises do you guys know of a way I can say that I got fired but in a non humiliating way? I’m fine with telling them that I got fired, but knowing my parents’ and friends’ nosy nature, I’m going to have to end up telling them why.
